Music Selector: How-to
Thank you for agreeing to be a Guys Read Music Selector. Now let’s get started!
1. The most important thing to know is that you must use podsafe music. We cannot use music with copyright restricitons EVER.
2. Explore the following podsafe sites to get a feel for what is available. As you explore, pay close attention to any notices about how to give credit to musicians. (e.g. Do we need to mention title and band name? the site where we found the music?)

- PodSafe Audio
- GarageBand
- Royalty Free Music
- Flash Kit sound effects
3. Don’t foget that we are looking for short clips of 15 – 30 seconds, but you can laways edit clips to make them shorter.
4. When you find a music clip to download, complete the Music Selection Form and submit it to Mrs. Glatt for approval.
5. After approval, download clip, edit using Audacity (with the help of a sound editor), and save music file to the Guys Read flash drive.
6. Let the sound editor know your music file is ready.
7. Repeat for all music and sound effects needed for the podcast.
