Booktalker: How-to
Thank you for agreeing to do a booktalk for Guys Read! Now let’s get started!
1. Decide on a book to talk about and make sure you know the complete title and author’s name.
2. Print out the Booktalk Submission Form and fill it out completely (including Mrs. Glatt’s approval)
3. Get a recording device (mp3 player, computer + microphone, computer + headset w/ microphone) and record your booktalk. See Mrs. Glatt for instructions the first time. Record again until it sounds just the way you want it to.
4. Save your sound file to the Guys Read flash drive.
5. Let the host know you are done so he can write the intro. Let the sound editor know your booktalk is ready for editing.
WOW! You are done unless you want to do another booktalk!
